Stelios Malezas, who stood out for his performance and made timely interventions in the game, spoke about inexperience errors:

It had been a long time since we won an away game, especially in Athens. We were determined to win today. Apart from a mediocre patch, we were in control and got a deserved victory«.

We made some mistakes due to lack of experience. We should cut down on their number in upcoming matches, in order to achieve our goals«.

We didn’t get all nine points from our first three games, but that isn’t important. We now focus on our next match that will be even harder in my opinion. Panionios have a solid game when they play away from home. We will encounter more problems than we did today«.

PAOK captain and scorer Stefanos Athanasiadis focused on the three points won, while also dedicating victory to Panagiotis Pikilidis on behalf of the whole team:

I want to congratulate all the guys who gave it their best on the pitch. We knew we were up for a tough match against Panionios, who are very strong especially at home. We wanted to start strong from minute one and not give opportunities to Panionios. We managed to take the lead in the first half. We didn’t play well, but it was important to get these three points«.

No matter how many chances get lost, a striker should always concentrate to convert the next one he gets. We wanted the three points and we knew how important they are. We now focus on the next match. These matches are very close to one another and we will need the whole roster«.

It would have been best to avoid the errors we made. Fortunately they didn’t prove costly. That should serve as a lesson ahead of upcoming encounters«.

We are satisfied with our points tally so far, but we shouldn’t think that this is over. There are still three matches ahead and we must give everything to clinch top spot«.
