Veria – PAOK: Mixed zone

Here is what PAOK players said in the mixed zone of the Veria Stadium, before boarding the bus that would take them back to Thessaloniki.

02.10.2016

José Ángel Crespo, who played as right full-back in Veria, spoke about his performance and the team failing to score:

«I don’t want to speak about the disallowed goal. We must score. We can’t have our matches end in goalless draws. Not scoring means not winning. It’s been quite some time that I last played as right full-back, but that was our coach’s decision today and I want to help the team. I believe that we can break the resistance of such teams if we are compact».

«The disallowed goal affected us. It was a clear goal, everyone saw it. We must bow our heads and continue working. We are still at the start of the season. We must not drop any more points», Giannis Mystakidis said.

«It was a clear goal. We all watched it later in the dressing room. There was no offside», Gojko Cimirot added.

Facundo Pereyra, who scored the disallowed goal, was wondering about the disallowed goal and said that the team must bounce back:

«It was a clear goal, that is an undisputed fact. I am wondering how the assistant could miss that, despite being so close. I don’t want to say anything else, we already said enough in the dressing room as well. I don’t know what the referee thinks. We must continue and recover from this point loss, because we have a tough schedule ahead».
