Work on speed and strength
Vladan Ivić is welcoming back his players from international duty and making his plans ahead of Sunday’s encounter against AEP Iraklis.
Garry Rodrigues, Fernando Varela, Yevhen Shakhov, Giannis Mystakidis, Charis Charisis, Efthymis Koulouris, Achilleas Pouggouras and Dimitris Giannoulis are all back in Thessaloniki, while Panagiotis Glykos, Giorgos Tzavellas and Gojko Cimirot will return to trainings on Wednesday.
The latter five players who returned from their international duty with Greece’s U21s, did recuperation work, while Shakhov, Rodrigues and Varela trained normally. Djalma Campos followed part of the training and is expected to join normal training on Wednesday. The same goes for Diego Biseswar, who did recuperation work under the watchful eye of Petar Milkanović.
It was a high-intensity session focusing on speed, strength and team work regarding situations under pressure. José Ángel Crespo didn’t participate in the last part of training out of precaution, due to minor pains because of a knock.
Wednesday’s training session is scheduled to start at 16:00 in Nea Mesimvria Sports Centre.
