«Focus is key»

Charis Charisis spoke to Novasports TV ahead of the encounter against AEP Iraklis. Here is everything that the young midfielder said about the local derby of Super League matchday 7 and his last matches for Greece U21s.

14.10.2016

On the games against Xanthi and Veria:

«We were good in the Xanthi game. We created several chances and I believe we didn’t deserve that result. We could also have defeated Veria, but despite some chances we created, we weren’t good at all in that game. In my opinion, we have worked very well during the international break and we will be better in upcoming matches«.

On whether they worked on specific elements of the game:

«We work on every aspect. Our coach knows better than anyone what to do and how to work. I believe that everybody will be ready to respond when called to play«.

On his last games with Greece U21s:

«I enjoyed beautiful experiences with Greece U21s for two years. It was special coming up against other national sides and I feel honoured to having represented my country«.

On whether he aims to become a senior international with Greece:

«Just like any Greek footballer. Playing for Greece national side is my aim«.

On the upcoming game against AEP Iraklis:

«It’s a Thessaloniki derby. Last season we stumbled, but this season we aim to win. We will do everything in our power to get these three points in our home ground«.

On the elements that will decide victory:

«I believe that focus is the most important one«.

On whether they also think about other upcoming games apart from the one against AEP Iraklis:

«We never stop saying that we only think of the match ahead. Other encounters can wait«.
