Passing game and attacking deployment

Vladan Ivić is trying to improve the team’s displays and effectiveness through daily trainings, even without a clear match schedule nor any indication regarding the date that the league will resume.

10.11.2016

As things stand now, PAOK’s next official engagement is in two weeks, when they will travel to Florence for their last attempt to qualify to the UEFA Europa League knockout stage. Until then, Ivić’s main concern is to keep his plan and try to remedy all the elements that didn’t work well in recent matches.

Thursday’s training session (10 November) was dedicated to continuous movement and fast ball passing in reduced spaces with game alterations. There was also a drill with attacking deployment in three zones and fast finishing, with the ball always going to the forward.

Djalma Campos followed the biggest part of training and then focused on his recovery program. The rest of the players (minus the internationals who are absent) trained normally. Stergios Dodontsakis, Giorgos Muca and Giorgos Tzovaras also participated in training. Friday’s session is scheduled to start at 12:00 in Nea Mesimvria.
