Born on 10 October 1986, the Greece international goalkeeper has been at PAOK since the summer of 2007, featuring in 134 encounters. His 8th season for the club –he was shipped on loan to Olympiacos Volos for a year and to Agrotikos Asteras for six months- is arguably his most mature one. Capped four times for Greece, he returned to the national coach’s lists as well.

After signing the extension of his contract, Panagiotis Glykos spoke to paokfc.gr:

«Signing my new contract is a very joyous moment for me. I am very honoured by Mr. Ivan Savvidis’s offer to continue my career here. It’s almost a decade since I first joined PAOK and obviously this club is not just my work place, but a second family to me.

I feel that we need to do even more, win titles and distinctions, help PAOK reach a higher level. Going through maturity as goalkeeper through such a special club as PAOK, I can only promise hard work, effort and focus in daily trainings and games. Our fans have been by my side in tough moments and have helped me progress and hopefully I will be able to repay their support.

I wish to thank especially Mr. Ivan Savvidis, the club administration, Mr Micheľ, my teammates and my coach for their trust, which is the single most important thing for a goalkeeper«.
