«Let’s fight to win»
Here is what Diego Biseswar said to Novasports TV ahead of the encounter against Platanias:
On the encounter against FC Slovan Liberec and qualification to the UEFA Europa League knockout stage:
«I feel good and so does the team, in my opinion. On Thursday we witnessed a different PAOK. We fought and got a good result. We got what we wanted and made it to the “last 32” stage of the competition. This is very good for everybody. In the Super League, we have had some ups and downs, but we are on a positive frame of mind and look ahead. Hopefully this will be the start of a winning streak with 6-7 victories. It’s all beneficiary for Greek football to have two clubs in the knockout stage of the UEFA Europa League and I am hoping for a good draw«.
On whether he has any preference regarding the draw:
«No, I don’t. I just hope that we get the weaker rival. The line-up features tough possible opponents, with the addition of the teams coming from the UEFA Champions League. I am wishing for a good draw and a good tie«.
On the squad remaining in the hotel prior to the game:
«I don’t know if that helped. Each player has their own routine before a game. We liked being all together, although four days is perhaps too much. It was positive that we were all together, focused and that we ended up getting the desired result«.
On the encounter against Platanias:
«I know it’s difficult game. A league game –and they all are tough. I believe that we need to keep the passion we had on Thursday, our attacking might and keep producing crosses from the flanks. Platanias are a solid team and we must work hard to win the game«.
