Preparing for 2017
PAOK players took a break from football action in mid-December and had the opportunity for a well-deserved rest after the first half of the season. January however will be very tough and demanding.
PAOK kick off 2017 in Livadia and then face Giannina (home), Panetolikos (away), AEL Larissa (away), Levadiakos (home) and PAS Giannina (away) in just 20 days.
Vladan Ivić and his assistants have prepared a training plan that will allow the team to be ready and continue their winning streak.
Wednesday’s session took place in Nea Mesimvria and the menu consisted of tactical drills, ball passing exercises and transition game practice. Charis Charisis trained normally after recovering from the flu, while Stelios Kitsiou followed a special program as he hasn’t fully recovered yet.
Léo Matos trained normally, Dimitris Chatziisaias and Ergys Kaçe went through ergometrics to assess their level of readiness and plan specific training for them, while Facundo Pereyra complained of pains in the right groin and did light training. His condition will be evaluated again on Thursday, a day of double training.
