Recuperation and finishing
Not only did PAOK win in PAS Giannina, but they also managed to escape without injuries.
The unplayable pitch of Zosimades that resembled to a beach soccer ground in some parts, due to the sand used to cover mudholes, caused extra fatigue to the players. Thankfully, without muscular injuries though…
Tuesday’s training session focused on the all too important factor of decompression and recuperation. Those who played on Monday went through a special program with pool bike, Jacuzzi and alternations of cold-warm water in the neuro-reflexology corridors.
The substitutes of the Giannina game trained normally, their program including possession and passing games, as well as finishing practice. Markos Vellidis returned to full training, while Lazaros Lambrou retired from the last part of session as a precaution, having complained of hip pains. His condition will be evaluated after the pertinent medical tests.
Wednesday’s session is scheduled to start at 16:00 in Nea Mesimvria.
