PAOK started on the wrong foot against AEK Athens and went on to worse. They don’t have the luxury to dwell on the OAKA match though. On the contrary, they need to remedy their errors and react against Panionios.
There is no other acceptable result than victory in Sunday’s game against the Super League’s surprise package who are currently second-placed. After enjoying the day off on Monday, Vladan Ivić and his players returned to training and started preparing for the Panionios match.
The session focused on improving the players’ individual skills according to their position on the pitch. The players split into defenders and forwards and worked on their weaknesses.
Those who started the encounter against AEK Athens followed a special decompression program with drills on the pitch and in the gym. Stelios Malezas suffered a 2nd-degree strain in the right foot and did physiotherapy, as did Djalma Campos who sustained a 1st-degree strain in the adductor brevis.
Léo Matos worked on his own, due to knee pains because of a knock he suffered in the AEK game. On the contrary, Stelios Kitsiou trained normally alongside his team-mates.
