PAOK started strongly into the encounter, but conceded a goal after just two minutes of play. They responded well to the early setback however, creating many opportunities. They level in the 30th minute with Panagiotou and kept their foot on the throttle afterwards. In the 38th minute, they took a 2-1 lead with Altintzis, set up by Sapountzis. Altintzis completed his brace one minute later, teed up by Aventisian. PAOK sealed their 4-1 victory with Gortegiani, on an assist by Temertzoglou.
