Play-offs start now for PAOK
The advantage that PAOK had built throughout the season was cancelled in 90 minutes, in their opening encounter in Toumba. But it’s the play-offs and the “Double-Headed Eagle” need to react as soon as possible.
PAOK need to step on the pitch on Wednesday, as if the play-offs were starting just now, and regain their lead. In order to achieve that, they must recover their winning ways. Their next encounter against Panathinaikos offers Vladan Ivić and his troops the opportunity to get over the setback against AEK Athens.
PAOK trained in Nea Mesimvria on Monday. Those who started the Sunday game did special recuperation work. The rest worked on ball passing and tactics.
Fernando Varela will undergo surgery on Tuesday morning for his abdominal muscle injury. The “Double-Headed Eagle” will train at 14:00 in Toumba Stadium and then will leave for Athens.
