The calendar of modern-day football is exhausting and there is no time to waste. Fernando Varela is already counting the days to return to action.
The defender of PAOK underwent laparoscopy by surgeon Charis Iakovidis to deal with a torn external oblique aponeurosis. Varela will be able to begin his rehabilitation program in 3-4 days and in 2-3 weeks he will start jogging in order to regain his form.
