Heads down, back to work
The shock of the exit from the UEFA Europa League has understandably created huge disappointment within PAOK family. This development obliges everyone in the team to work hard in order to change the tide.
Răzvan Lucescu led the way. He focused initially on the players’ morale and then concentrated on the elements that the team need to work on and improve. “We start a new season”, was the Romanian tactician’s message, as he is aware that there is a long way ahead.
On Friday (25 August), those who started the encounter against Östersunds FK did special recuperation and decompression work. The rest did passing drills and engaged in intensity games in reduced space.
Omar El Kaddouri trained with his new team-mates for the first time. He didn’t participate in the last part of the session, in order to work apart on his physical condition. José Alberto Cañas and Dorian Lévêque are back at the disposal of Lucescu, as they fully recovered from their respective injuries and trained normally.
On Saturday, PAOK will train in Toumba Stadium in the evening.
