Another cup awarded in Toumba
Sharp and deservedly dubbed one of the most talented generations ever out of PAOK Academy, undefeated U19s will be crowned Greek champions officially on Sunday 12 May in Toumba Stadium.
The pupils of Pablo García and Mirosław Sznaucner face Asteras Tripolis at noon (12:00), with free entrance to the match. The fans will be able to acclaim the youngsters who had a dream season, just like the senior side.
PAOK U19s have 82 points, AEK trailing far behind with 58. This huge gap allowed the “Double-Headed Eagle” to seal the league title with seven games to go. In 28 games, they have celebrated 27 victories and have dropped points just once. They have scored 80 goals and conceded 19.
The U19s were also impressive in the UEFA Youth League. Their run there was cut short by Tottenham Hotspur in Toumba Stadium, in front of a great crowd that never stopped boosting the morale of García’s players.
On Sunday, PAOK faithful will have the opportunity to celebrate another trophy being lifted in Toumba Stadium.
