PAOK came away from Lamia with a precious three-point haul on Thursday to remain within one point of leaders Olympiacos in the title race. The next challenge is fast approaching, however, with Volos our opponents at the Toumba on Monday (27.01, 18:00).

The preparations for the match against the Magnesia outfit began at midday on Friday (24.01) at Nea Mesimvria. Those players who took part in the match against Lamia followed a relaxed program of recuperation exercises on the training pitch, in the gym and in the swimming pool.

The rest of the group were put through their paces by the coaching staff with a high-intensity session which involved running drills, possession games, passing exercises, and a mini friendly match.

Dimitris Giannoulis took a knock in the match to his left leg which has caused some bruising and he will receive treatment before its decided if he can take part in Monday’s match. Leo Jaba continued his individual recovery program.

PAOK will train again on Saturday (25.10) at 15:30 in Nea Mesimvria.
