Under-17 side savor derby success
PAOK’s Under-17 team celebrated a comfortable 2-0 derby away win over Aris in Triandria on Sunday in a match which could have been won by an even bigger margin. Papavasileiou and Taxidis’ side are now four points clear of Aris at the top of Group B.
PAOK scored a goal in each half and missed a hatful of other chances in what was a dominant display from the visitors against their city rivals. After 14 minutes Koulierakis beat the Aris goalkeeper to head home the opening goal from Tasiouras’ assist. Then in the 69th minute, Koutsias doubled the advantage when he followed up to score on the rebound from Tasioras’ initial effort on goal.
