«We know that in recent weeks Larissa have not had the best ride results-wise but we knew it would still be a difficult game. Larissa also had a lot of important players absent. As far as our game plan went, we didn’t change anything even if the playing surface was not in the best shape. In the first half we were in control, and I think we were the beat team overall.

The match was decided in the first half when we had the upper hand. In the second half we didn’t play as well as we can, conceded a goal but still we won and I’d like to congratulate my teammates and now we have to fully focus on the match against Olympiacos.

There’s good chemistry between us all. Mauricio is an experienced player with a lot of quality and we help each other out on the pitch. There was definitely some extra fatigue after the number of games we’ve played but that’s not an excuse. What counts is winning and getting the three points.

When a forward scores goals it really helps the confidence levels. Playing on the left is a position I like and helps me, but that’s the coach’s decision. 

I’m very good friends with Ballas. When we played together at Atromitos he really helped me and he congratulated me after the match. We’ll try to rest a little and then from the day after tomorrow we’ll start to focus on the match against Olympiacos and I’m sure that the Toumba is going to be sold-out to give us an extra push.»

«I’m delighted that I scored a goal that helped my team win this match. We had discussed beforehand that this was a game we really wanted to win and I’m really happy we managed to do it.

We controlled the game and our opponents only got a goal from a set-piece. We had to work hard and put in plenty of running to make sure we held on to the result, and it’s great that we did it.

Playing in front of them [the central defenders] is something which really helps me. These are two experienced players who have a lot to offer the younger players like myself.

I definitely think every team and every player is always going to have fluctuations in performance. We have managed things well this season. We certainly had an unfortunate result against Panathinaikos, but overall we have done well.

Today we could not be 100% physically fit. Now we have the game with Olympiacos ahead of us and we have to win.

We need to do what the coach asks of us against Olympiacos, to have control of the game at all times and with the help of our supporters to try and dominate them.

There are a lot of derbies in Brazil and I have already tasted the different types of atmospheres, but I am realy looking forward to playing against Olympiacos.»

Everyone knows that the PAOK-Olympiacos match is one of the biggest matches o the season, but there are also the Play Offs to come.»
