Under-17 side put PAS to the sword
PAOK’s Under-17 side continued their incredible winning form on Sunday with a 2-0 away victory over PAS Giannina to maintain their four-point lead over second-placed Aris.
A goal in each half proved enough to seal the win, but it’s worth pointing out that PAOK were also denied by the woodwork and missed a hatful of clear scoring chances. Tasiouras opened the scoring in the 35th minute from Kedikoglou’s assist, and he then turned from provider to scorer for the home side after 58 minutes after slotting home on the rebound after Smyrlis’ initial effort. PAS won a penalty in the 83rd minute but PAOK goalkeeper Monastirlis produced a fine save to deny the visitors.
PAOK lineup: Monastirlis, Kitsakis (75′ Spiridopoulos), Sinanai, Koulierakis, Manolioudis, Tsikos, Tasiouras, Kontentakis, Kedikoglou (82′ Zilos), Koulouris (65′ Kouidis), Smyrlis (82′ Xepapadakis).
