Rest, recovery and recuperation

It was a bad night and a bad result. Nothing is over just yet though and everyone in the PAOK camp is well aware of that. The only way to overturn things is through hard work.

25.02.2020

The season still has a long way to go and everything is wide open. Our main opponent now has a significant five-point lead but the Play Offs which are coming up soon give the Dikefalo the opportunity to correct their mistakes and battle to defend their league and cup titles.

On Monday (23.02) the players and coaching staff had a rest day, while on Tuesday (25.02) it was time to get back to work ahead of the upcoming match against Xanthi.

The players who were in the starting XI in last Sunday’s derby against Olympiacos undertook a light training program which involved work in the gym and swimming pool. The rest of the group were out on the practice pitches and after the usual warm-up exercises, there were fitness drills and exercises practicing passing and possession, as well as a friendly match to wrap things up.

Only Jose Crespo and Leo Jaba are sidelined and both are continuing their respective individual recovery treatment programs to try and get back to full fitness as quickly as possible.

On Wednesday (26.02) PAOK will train once more at 11:00 at Nea Mesimvria.
