Statement from PAOK FC

Statement from PAOK FC in response to the decision made by the Hellenic Football Federation’s (EPO) Appeals Committee.

14.04.2020

It is unheard of – but unfortunately expected – that in the end, two courts have declared a decision from a body which is composed of relatives, appointees and friends of Mr. Avgenakis as binding.

It is obvious that we respect any decisions made by a court ruling, as long as those courts actually judge and do not evade. It is also self-evident that we will immediately appeal to the Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS) in the hope that this case, which has been created in the offices of political servants, will actually be heard and tried properly.

Today’s decision of the three-member Appeals Committee by a majority (2-1) considers that Tzoulakis, Arkoudis and Maroupa are senior judges. This obvious absurdity is unprecedented!
