Focusing on the positive reaction moving forward

It was one of those days when it doesn’t matter what you do, the ball just won’t go in. And that was how PAOK missed out on the chance to return to winning ways against Panathinaikos. The positive which came out of that match, however, is that the team produced a quality performance and showed its true character. The players must now take that into the next challenging hurdle – the upcoming game against OFI.

The preparations for the match against the Cretans, which viewers will again have the chance to watch exclusively via PAOK TV, got underway on Monday with a training session at Nea Mesimvria. The players who took part in the battle at the Olympic Stadium in Athens followed a special program designed to allow them to recuperate and recharge, while the rest of the group who did not play a part worked on passing, possession and finishing.

Andre Vieirinha is struggling with a knee tendon injury and he remained in the gym to work out. Meawhile, Josip Misic is due to have surgery to remove the cyst in his groin on Tuesday (16.06).

The PAOK squad will be back in at Nea Mesimvria again for training on Τρίτη (16.06) at 10:00.
