The match against AEK could have acted as the key to locking up second place for PAOK, but it turned into a missed opportunity instead. The Play Offs, however, still have a long way to go, and PAOK continues its effort to win a place in the Champions League qualifiers.

The poor performance and negative result against AEK must be consigned to the past immediately, because the Dikefalos tou Vorra does not have the luury to lose further ground. And so victory against OFI Crete is an absolute necessity. Abel Ferreira and his players know all too well that they need to come up with some serious answers to the questions being asked of them over the next two days to get the team back to winning ways.

On Thursday (02.07) those who were part of the starting XI against ΑΕΚ followed a wind-down and recuperation training program. Dimitris Pelkas and Andre Vieirinha continued their individual training programs and on Friday (03.07) they will try to train with the rest of the squad. Leo Jaba followed part of the session, while Jose Crespo returned to full training following his lengthy spell on the sidelines through injury.

On Friday (03.07) PAOK will train at Toumba and depart from Crete afterwards.
