Football is back and so are the paokfc.gr contests and awards. .gr. We are getting things started with the Regency Casino Best Goal for June. Three scorers, three wonderful goals, but only one prize. Cast your votes now via paokfc.gr and the PAOK FC Official App.
The first contender is Christos Tziolis. The young ace was handed his full debut in June and found the back of the net in only his second appearance against OFI Crete. And the young forward’s first goal in the Greek top flight was quite a strike.
Dimitris Giannoulis won possession, sent a dangerous cross into the heart of the opposition’s penalty area and Tziolis met it perfectly to send a superb, first-time finish to level the scores.
There is also a defender in with a shout this time. Fernando Varela opened the scoring to pave the way for the win over Aris at the Kleanthis Vikelidis, sending a powerful header into the net to make it 1-0 from Miroslav Stoch’s free-kick.
Finally, Karol Swiderski is our third contender. The Polish striker saw his penalty saved at Charilaou by Julian Cuesta in the early stages of the match, but in his third attempt on goal on the night he produced a quality finish.
A cleverly-taken Mauricio free-kick released Diego Biseswar, who in turn sent Swarovski through on goal with a defence-splitting pass and Swiderski made no mistake against the Spanish goalkeeper.
