Ahead of PAOK’s final Super League Play Offs match of the season with Aris, paokfc.gr puts you in the picture about the background to the match, as well as a look back at our previous encounters against the Kitrinomavri.
- This is only the second season that both sides are participating in the Play Offs together. Aris has only taken part twice. The first time came in the 2007-08 season when PAOK did not take part, while both teams were involved in the 2009-10 season with the Dikefalos tou Vorra beating Aris 2-0 at the Toumba and Aris claimed a 3-2 win at their home ground on May 19 2010 in a match that was PAOK’s final game of the season with the club having already made first place safe.

In the match at the Kleanthis Vikelidis Stadium, Malezas’ own goal (11′) opened the scoring, while Papazoglou (22′) levelled matters. Then Javito (32′) put Aris ahead, and Cirillo equalized (45′) again for PAOK. The game was then decided by Cabora’s (63) goal.
- The first match between the two sides in this season’s Play Offs ended in a 2-0 win for PAOK thanks to goals from Varela (36’) and Swiderski (44’).
