Pre-season preparations for 2020-21
The final whistle of the season has been blown, and the floodlights have gone out. The 2019-20 season has already been consigned to memory. And for PAOK, the experience is one the team can learn from, as well as act as an incentive for the club to improve across the board and return to its recent success.
The 2020-21 season, however, is only a breath away. Literally. The squad’s first scheduled gathering will be on July 30, at 10:00, at the club’s training base in Nea Mesimvria. PAOK will remain in Thessaloniki until August 4, and then the squad will travel to Pilio to complete a mini training camp which will also include two friendly matches. The first will take place on August 6 against Atromitos and the second will be against Volos on August 10.
After that, PAOK will return to the club’s training base. The time before PAOK play in their first competitive game of the season, which will be on August 25/26 in the second round of qualifying for the Champions League, the club will attempt to book two more friendly matches.
The draw for PAOK’s European opponents will be made on August 10 in Nyon, Switzerland, and for the 2020-21 season both the second and third qualifying rounds of the Champions League will feature one-legged ties which will take place at the home ground of the team which is draw first.
