Emphasis on set-pieces
Two days remain until the upcoming match against PAS Giannina, and the PAOK squad are stepping up their preparations on both the football and health front.
On Friday (20.11) all of the squad, coaches and officials submitted a Covid-19 test, as the health protocals call for ahead of all Super League Interwetten matches. The results are expected by the end of the day just in case more time is needed for any retesting.
On the personnel front, for the first time since the players regrouped following the recent international break, the coaching team had all of the players at their disposal. Apart from the necessary warm-up, the program included extensive work on set-pieces, and also featured a freidnly match at the end played in a limited space.
Douglas Augusto’s MRI scan came back «clean», however the Brazilian continued to receive treatment on his groin twinge which he has not yet fully recovered from. His status will be reassessed on a daily basis. Dimitris Giannoulis and Enea Mihaj contined their injury recovery training programs individually.
The Double-headed Eagle squad will be back in for training on Saturday (21.11) for a session at the Toumba at 10:30.
