Three points and lessons learned as attention switches to Europe

PAOK returned to league action at the weekend with another comeback victory over PAS Giannina, showing once again that the team has the character for a battle as well as a winning mentality to strive for its goal right until the final whistle.

PAOK gathered its learnings from the match against PAS Giannina, and begins a new week turning the focus now to the upcoming contest against PSV Eindhoven on Matchday 4 of the UEFA Europa League group stage.

The players who started the the match against PAS followed a recovery and recuperation program in the gym and swimming pool. The rest of the squad went straight out onto the practice pitches and executed a program with a heavy emphasis on fitness conditioning with lots of running drills,, possession games and a mini tournament to wrap things up.

Douglas Augusto followed an individual training program and on Tuesday (24.11) he will try to rejoin full training. Adrian Pereira, who was taken off against PAS after feeling some discomfort in his right groin, received some treatment and he will have an MRI scan to assess the extent of his injury.

Dimitris Giannoulis and Enea Mihaj continued their respective individual training programs as they work to overcome their injuries.

The PAOK squad will be back in at Nea Mesimvria for training at 16:00 on Tuesday (24.11).
