The squad for the match against Aris
With the chapter entitled “Europe” over and done with for the 2020-21 season, now PAOK’s attention turns to the domestic title race. And next up is the challenge of an away match on Sunday (13.12) against Aris which will help to liven up a city in the midst of a lockdown due to Covid-19.
The Double-headed Eagle players have been focusing more on mentality management after the level of intensity required for the match against Granada, and since the only full training session before the upcoming match was the Saturday (12.12) morning session at the Toumba.
The program, as logic demanded. was devoted to the tactical approach for the clash at the Kleanthis Vikelidis Stadium. Initially the players executed some fitness drills and then the players worked closely with the coaching team on build-up play as well as defensive practice, with some time also set aside for set-pieces.
Andre Vieirinha completed the full session for the second day in succession and is available for selection, but Rodrigo Souares, who received further treatment on his injury, is still out of contention, as is the suspended Omar El Kaddouri and Enea Mihaj, who continues his recovery program after knee surgery in Italy.
The following squad was announced for the match against Aris:
