On how the week went:

«The match with Aris is in the past. It’s over and done with. The first two or three days we were upset but now it’s in the past. The plan for tomorrow’s game is very important for us. It is a derby. It is the last match of the year and we want to finish very well; with nothing less than a victory. This is the only thing we are interested in. I think the team is ready. We worked very hard these days so we can be ready for tomorrow and have a happy ending to the year.»

On what went against Aris:

«I will say again that we were not worse than our opponents, we did not deserve to lose this game. In the first half we created several opportunities to score goals. As I saw in the video, my view is that there was no penalty for Aris, which gave them the opportunity to win. At least the referee could have checked the two penalties we should have had via VAR, with Tziolis and the handball in the 94th minute which I think was clear but ok, we can not go back. The team played well right to the end and showed that on this day we were not the inferior team. We did not deserve to lose.»

On whether the derby left any problems for the team:

«I don’t believe that it did. There were a lot of things wrong with the game against Aris but we have not bothered with them. We do not want to change and be affected by what happened. We have a very important match tomorrow and that is all we are interested in now.»

The fact that the team have had an entire week to prepare:

«Yes, it is true that we had a whole week to work together. We had three days that we could work on tactics, on some approaches that we want to se, and until now we did not have this kind of time in between the league games and the European matches. I think we have managed to work on some important things.»

On the players that the coaching staff can count on:

«Everyone is fit and ready apart from Wague, who was seriously injured, as well as Varelas, who has been suffering from back pains in recent days. Everyone else is ready and they want to play. This is very good because they have also demonstrated it strongly in training.»

On Panathinaikos:

«The truth is that in the last few games they have improved a lot. They have three wins in a row, and they are in good shape. They have good players, a good coach – both Pablo and I worked under him – he is a good coach and a good man. We anticipate a difficult game, but we’re ready.»

On where the match will be won or lost:

«It’s a difficult question. We know how Panathinaikos play, they certainly know as well how we play. Maybe during what will be a tough game, a set piece or counter attack may decide it. They will be waiting for the right moment to pounce. We must be fully concentrated if we lose the ball, we must take care to stop their counter attacks immediately. But I think we are all ready, it is the last match of the year, and we do not have holidays on our minds. The only thing we’re thinking about is getting a win.»
