Lamprou: «The best of myself»
Lazaros Lamprou has returned from his loan spell in Holland with FC Twente and is ready to help the team. Read his comments for the novasports cameras ahead of the match against Larissa via paokfc.gr.
On the new year and what to expect from it:
«Happy New Year to all the supporters. On a collective level I wish that PAOK can get back to winning titles. Where it deserves to be. For my personal goals, first of all I wish that I remain healthy, and secondly to justify both the coach’s and the fans’ faith in me.»
On his return to PAOK:
«I am very happy. I have come back more psychologically ready to give my best and to develop through the club.»
On his experience in the Netherlands:
«It was a bit difficult. However, I keep the positive things. It helped me to see things differently, psychologically. I came back ready to fight and claim my opportunity.»
On what the PAOK fans can expect from him:
«I will give 100% in every match, I will fight and I will try to help PAOK achieve its goals.»
On how he was welcomed back by the new faces at the club:
«The atmosphere is very good. I was warmly welcomed by all my teammates, and my coach. The training is intense and painful, they demand some specific things from us but we are ready for the next step.»
On the marathon of matches ahead in January:
«It will be difficult. We have shown each other that we are ready psychologically and competitively for each game separately. Now we are looking at Larissa and we are ready to go for the victory.»
On what PAOK need to do to claim three points at the Alcazar Stadium:
«It is a difficult game, we will have to control the tempo and we will definitely win with the quality we have as a team.»
On the message he would like to send to everyone in view of 2021:
«My message to our fans is that we miss them very much. We want them there with us. I would like to tell them that we are ready to give everything so that we can be champions in the end.»
