Sznaucner: «It will be a tough game»
Miroslav Sznaucner shared his thoughts and insights on the upcoming Super League Interwetten Matchday 19 derby clash against Olympiacos to the Novasports cameras. Read what the Pole said on paokfc.gr.
On the derby against Olympiacos:
«Just two days ago we had the game with AEK. The final result hurt us a little, as we created many phases, and also had a phase of play where we should have had a penalty, but the good thing was that we reacted both times when we went behind. We are not happy with the result, and another big derby with Olympiacos is now ahead of us, a difficult away game. Our performance at the Toumba against them can act as a guide; we were the much better team and the 1-1 was a very unfair result for us. We put a lot of pressure on them in the second half, with Olympiacos equalizing with a goal from their only attack which had led to a corner, and an individual error on our part, so we want to continue to do well and win.»
On what kind of game he expects:
«As we know, Olympiacos will put out the best team they can, we do not expect surprises. It will be a tough game. We do not know who will play in our starting XI yet. We have 2-3 places that we’re not quite sure who will start.»
On the status of Jose Crespo and if there are other injury problems:
«Everyone else is fine. Concerning Crespo we are waiting to find out if he can take part tomorrow. He has a small problem and we will see how things are tomorrow.»
On Shinji Kagawa and his imminent transfer to the club:
«The coach talked to the player, they have had some communication. He is a very good player with great quality. He will help us a lot in the offensive line, it offers us another option. We need to evaluate his condition, as he has not played for a long time, so it will take some time to work out, but we are very much looking forward to having him.»
