Searching for stability
The all-to familiar phenomenon of missed opportunities and mistakes that cost dearly reared its ugly head again at the Toumba over the weekend, resulting in another two dropped points for PAOK in the match against Apollon Smyrnis.
It was a result that should not be forgotten, but instead act as a lesson so as not to be repeated in the near future. PAOK are called upon to correct their mistakes and produce the right kind of performance and result in the first leg of their Greek Cup quarter-final tie against Lamia.
The work started on Monday (08.02) morning in Nea Mesimvria. After the Covid-19 tests, the two-day preparation period for the match against the Fthiotida club began.
The players who were in the starting lineup in Sunday’s match remained in the gym, swimming pool and with the physiotherapists for a program of recovery and rehabilitation.
The rest of the group went out on the practice pitches for a high-intensity training session that had as its main object passing and possession.
The positive news of the day is the fact that all of the players are fit and healthy, with the exception of Enea Mihaj, who is continuing his individual rehabilitation program on the comeback trail from a knee injury.
On Tuesday (09.02) PAOK will train at 11:00 in Nea Mesimvria.
