Crespo «We know what this game means»
Jose Crespo spoke to Novasports to give his insights on the upcoming Super League Interwetten local game against Aris. Read what the Spanish defender said via paokfc.gr.
On what condition the PAOK squad is in, in view of Aris:
«We are in good shape; we worked hard this week. In the last game our performance was not what we wanted, but for tomorrow we are ready, we know what this game means and we are ready to win.»
On where the derby will be won or lost:
«As I always say, derbies are difficult for both teams regardless of the position of the teams in the league table. This is especially the case for this game which will be even more difficult because both teams are doing well in the standings and have the same goal in the league. We know what this game means for us and for the city, but if you have passion and concentration, then these are the key elements that help you to get a victory.»
On what PAOK need to do tactically:
«We need to follow our plan. We need to be focused in order to producer what we have been working on all week in training on the pitch and achieve what we want to do. Aris are a good side, they are solid especially in defense and they will wait and try to take advantage of our mistakes. If we stay focused on our plan, then we will have the opportunity to win.»
On Vieirinha and his contract renewal:
«We know each other well, since we have been together here for many years. The most important thing is that he deserved it. I am happy for him, he deserves a lot for what he has given to PAOK and what he still has to offer the club. Everything that happened in the summer cost him a lot, and now he will be calm since he knows that he will be able to finish his career at PAOK, whether it is in one or five years, this is something he will decide. He deserved it and I am happy that he got it.»
