Swiderski: «We want to achieve our goals»
Karol Swiderski spoke to Novasports to give his insights on the upcoming Super League Interwetten Play Offs premiere against AEK at the Toumba Stadium. Read what the Polish striker said via paokfc.gr.
On the Play Offs:
«We kick off against ΑΕΚ, which I expect to be a difficult game. However, we must be focused. We are left with two main goals for this season. We want to win the Greek Cup and secure secomnd place in the Play Offs, and so we need to get the three points.»
On whether or not he feels there could be surprises in tomorrow’s game between the two teams:
«Yes, there is always a chance for surprises. Every team can present something different. Every game is different, with new elements, so we will see that on Sunday.»
On how this year has gone for him on a personal level:
«It has been a good year for us. We have had good performances in the Champions League qualifiers and in the Europa League, beyond that, it is a fact that we are facing some difficulties. We are looking forward, though, we have 10 games to play and we are hoping for a strong end to the season in which we can secure second place.»
On his call up to the Polish national team:
«I am very proud to have the opportunity to train with the best players in my country, and to play in the national team with the likes of Lewandowski, who for me is one of the top players in the world, and Krzysztof Piatek. I want to show that I deserve to have this opportunity. I do not think I will play as a member of the starting lineup, because Lewandowski and Piatek will be the front two in England, and they have the right to be there, but I want to be on the bench. I will wait for my chance to prove what I deserve.»
On how he views playing with Lewandowski:
«I am happy. I will see what he does in training, and in the games; it will be a nice experience. I will enjoy the experience and I will learn from him, this is what I expect.»
