Tactics work with the restart on the horizon
Sunday’s (28.03) rest day gave the players and coaching staff a breather before the final… sprint starts towards the end of the season. In the space of a month and a half, nine Play Offs games and two Greek Cup semi-final matches await.
Monday (29.03) saw the squad – minus most of the international players – gathered to begin the preparations for the upcoming derby clash with Panathinaikos at ‘Leoforos’ on Matchday 2 of the Super League Interwetten Play Offs.
Michailidis, Tsingaras, Koutsias and Lyratzis were the first of the players away on duty for their country to return to training, which on Monday was devoted to tactics.
Work began with some running exercises, while after that there was a possession game based on zones, while the rest of the session saw the players execute some speficic tactical drills with the coaches.
Shinji Kagawa took part in some of the training session with the main group, before withdrawing as planned to continue his individual training program, while Andre Vieirinha also continued his individual training program as he recovers from nijury. Finally, Enea Mihaj continued his long-term rehab training program.
On Tuesday (30.03) PAOK will train at 12:00 in Nea Mesimvria.
