Moving through the gears
The derby clash at ‘Leoforos’ against Panathinaikos is on the horizon and the tempo of training rose a notch on Tuesday as the team continues their preparations for the upcoming showdown, aiming to continue in positive form following the opening Play Offs win over AEK.
On Tuesday (30.03) in Nea Mesimvria the players executed a high-intensity training session which featured work both on fitness conditioning and tactics.
The program began with some running exercises, several games played within limited spaces, sprint work, and so 1 Vs 1 duels. The final part of the session was devoted to some tactics lessons for the players based on the coaching team’s desired tactical approach for the upcoming match.
The good news of the day is that Shinji Kagawa and Andre Vieirinha returned to full training with the rest of the group. Both players managed to complete the majority of the session and they are stepping up their efforts to return to action.
Finally, Enea Mihaj continued his individual long-term injury recovery training program.
On Wednesday (31.03) PAOK will train at 12:00 in Nea Mesimvria.
