Attacking build-up play and set-pieces
As the derby date with Panathinaikos approaches, the PAOK squad’s training ground focus is also moving into the more specific details that the players must focus on to be ready for the challenge.
Wednesday (31.03) started, as always, with some fitness exercises. Initially the players did some running drills, and then some stretching and a high-intensity game of rondo followed.
Then it was time for some work on the passing game with the coaching staff giving the squad some specific tactical instructions based on attacking buil-up play. The finale part of the training session was devoted to work on set-pieces.
Vieirinha and Kagawa trained normally without any issues with the main group, while Enea Mihaj continued his long-term rehab training program, and Baba Rahman, who returned from international duty with Ghana worked out on his own with an individual training program designed by the coaching team ahead of his reintegration to the squad.
On Thursday (01.04) PAOK will train at 12:00 in Nea Mesimvria.
