Time to regroup

The day after the derby loss to Panathinaikos at ‘Leoforos’ saw PAOK trying to digest how the match got away from them and the team ended up on the wrong end of a flattering scoreline for the hosts which did not represent the true picture of the match.

05.04.2021

The essence, of course, has not changed, and that is that PAOK were not able to continue their winning form in the Super League Interwetten Play Offs, and as a result, the club is now in a difficult position again.

The Double-headed Eagle squad remained in Athens because the next match, the first leg of the Greek Cup semi-final, is against AEK, a match which which gives the coaching staff and the players an opportunity to bounce back quickly. The players who started the match at ‘Leoforos’ trained at the hotel, doing some recovery and rehabilitation training in the gym and with the physiotherapists.

The rest of the group trained normally, with the program including fitness, passing and tactical exercises.

Enea Mihaj is still the only name on the injured list. The Albanian defender is in Thessaloniki continuing his long-term rehabilitation program.

On Tuesday (06.04) PAOK will train at 11:00.
