- This is only the third season that the two teams are facing each other in the Play Offs. Aris has only reached this stage of the competition twice before. The first time was in the 2007-08 season during which PAOK did not participate, while both teams qualified in 2009-10 with the Dikefalos tou Vorra winning 2-0 at the Toumba and Aris winning 3-2 at their home ground on May 19 2010 in a match which was the final game of the season with PAOK having already claimed first place.
- In the 2-0 home win on May 2 2010 Ivic (26′) and Savini (36′) were the goalscorers for PAOK. In the corresponding fixture at the «Kleanthis Vikelidis» Malezas opened the scoring with an own goal (11′), Papazoglou (22′) drew PAOK level, before Javito (32′) put Aris back in front. Cirillo (45′) leveled again for PAOK, but Cabora’s (63) goal won it for Aris.
- The two teams met again last season in the Play Offs and it’s the first time that they are facing each other for successive seasons. Last season Aris were the home team first again, with PAOK winning 2-0 (36’ Varela, 44′ Swiderski), while the game at the Toumba ended in a 0-0 draw.

Next, the most common scorelines are 1-1 and 1-0 to Aris, both of which have appeared on six occasions. PAOK has recorded five wins with a 2-1 scoreline and four via a 1-0 result, while the biggest winning margin is the 4-0 win which took place on December 7 1994.
