  • This is only the third season that the two teams are facing each other in the Play Offs. Aris has only reached this stage of the competition twice before. The first time was in the 2007-08 season during which PAOK did not participate, while both teams qualified in 2009-10 with the Dikefalos tou Vorra winning 2-0 at the Toumba and Aris winning 3-2 at their home ground on May 19 2010 in a match which was the final game of the season with PAOK having already claimed first place.

In the corresponding fixture at the «Kleanthis Vikelidis» Malezas opened the scoring with an own goal (11′), Papazoglou (22′) drew PAOK level, before Javito (32′) put Aris back in front. Cirillo (45′) leveled again for PAOK, but Cabora’s (63) goal won it for Aris.
