- This is the third time that PAOK faces a team from Croatia. The record so far is three wins and one defeat, while at the Toumba the home side have two wins without conceding a single goal, a record of 7-0.

- Rijeka has so far faced Greek teams twice, and in fact in the same season. After being eliminated from the Champions League qualifiers by Olympiacos with two defeats in 2017-18, they then found themselves in the same group of the Europa League as AEK, where they lost 2-1 at home and recorded a 2-2 draw at the OAKA.
