On his takeaways from the match with Lincoln, and whether the result has helped PAOK to put the disappointment of the defeat with PAS Giannina behind them:

«They are two different situations. We had an unexpected result against PAS Giannina, a defeat that we did not expect. It is normal that in some situations when a team starts to build something new, there are some results that you do not expect and are not what you want. In Tripolis we have the opportunity on Sunday to rectify the situation with a positive result against Asteras. The game against Lincoln in Gibraltar was a different game, but we take from that the same thing what you always take from a game you win, and that is a positive mood and the psychological boost that comes with it.»

On PAOK’s tough fixture schedule and what he expects to see from Asteras Tripolis:

«Asteras are a very good and well-organized team, and this is due to the hard work done behind the scenes and during the summer. They are a team that has kept most of the players they had last season. We saw that in the friendly games that they got some very good results. Nevertheless, with the players and the quality that we have, I think we can produce a very good performance at a stadium which is always tricky. Tripoli is always a difficult away match to get a result from, but I think we can get a positive result.»

On if there are any other injury concerns apart from Crespo:

«The truth is that we had an issue with Crespo. It’s an injury issue but one that is not so serious. It will keep him out for a short time. However, we have the returns of A. Zivkovic and Douglas, and in general we are overcoming some injury problems. This has automatically strengthened the group, and from here on in it is our obligation to present ourselves properly tomorrow and to get the victory we want against Asteras Tripolis.»

On bringing Koutsias and Konstantelias into the squad and how he expects them to contribute to the team:

«They are footballers, and we should leave them in relative ‘peace and quiet’ and let them mature and grow in this new project that we are trying to build. They are players who should grow step by step within the team; they should take steady, gradual steps, they must evolve. They have to have a very strong mentality and they have to have to also train hard. They are the players who need the most help from those around them and not the other way around in this phase of their careers. We need to create the right conditions to be able to integrate them into the squad, and to be able to give them more playing time. We have to help them develop for the team and not the other way around. But again, this is a matter of patience and a case of having a proper strategy and management towards the players.»
