Razvan Lucescu joins the 100 Club
In PAOK’s 95-year history, only six coaches have reached the 100-match benchmark in the team’s dugout. One of those, and the man who has the highest win ratio, is none other than our current head coach Razvan Lucescu.
In Tripoli, the Romanian coach wanted the victory purely for competitive reasons, without knowing that the match was a special one for him personally. Why? Because he reached 100 games as PAOK coach and, according to the football cliché, joined an exclusive club.
The previous five coaches who have reached the 100 mark are Angelos Anastasiadis, Les Shannon, Dusan Bajevic, Fernando Santos and Guillaume Laurent.
The Romanian coach counts 72 wins, 13 draws and 15 defeats in his two spells in the black and white dugout, numbers that make him top of the 100 Club list in terms of success rates. Here is ranking in detail:
WINS IN 100 GAMES
- Razvan Lucescu – 72 Wins
- Angelos Anastasiadis – 64 Wins
- Les Shannon – 62 Wins
- Guillaume Laurent – 59 Wins
- Dusan Bajevic – 55 Wins
