On his return to the team from national team duty with Romania, for whom he scored with another header:

«It was definitely a good period for me personally and for the national team. The important thing is that we won, and we have to do the same here; we have to continue to win all the games we have ahead of us. I scored with both PAOK and the national team with my head, which is probably something a bit new for me. People do not expect me to do that because I’m not so tall, but I showed that I’m good at it too.»

On whether he remembers scoring other goals with his head in his career:

«No, when I was about 10 years old I did it, but professionally I had not done it before. Those were my first two goals with my head.»

On PAOK’s busy schedule before the international break, his participation in the Romania matches, and his own situation in terms of physical strength and fitness:

«It is definitely not the best thing to play a match every three days and have continuous obligations. And for us playing in our national teams it is not so easy. On the other hand, it is also good to have a lot of games under your belt, because they give you confidence. And so when you are playing matches constantly you build up a good rhythm and this is positive at the same time.»

On what he enjoys most about Thessaloniki since the start of his time at PAOK:

«It is a beautiful city but the truth is that I do not have time to do many things. I spend my time with my family, taking walks with my wife and child.»

On working with his compatriot Razvan Lucsescu in PAOK:

«It is the typical relationship between a coach and a player, nothing changes because we are both from Romania. One should not think that I will play more because I am from Romania. He is a very good coach, I knew him from the past, and I am happy that he is my coach. But I would say that we have the classic relationship that a player can have with the coach.»

On how the team will approach tomorrow’s match with Volos, the surprise of the league so far this season and a team who are at the top of the standings along with with PAOK:

«I have seen Volos, they are a very good team, very solid, and aggressive. But I believe that as long as we have done our preparation correctly, then everything will go well for us.»
