And now… derby time

The… silliness, as described by Razvan Lucescu, in the match against Volos, provoked a reaction from PAOK in what was another test of character in Denmark. The team showed that it may be at the beginning of a renewed phase. Nonetheless, what is clear is that this team has the personalities to manage tough situations, even if they do make life difficult for themselves sometimes.

The victory in Denmark over Copenhagen took PAOK into the top spot in the UEFA Europa Conference League group, and the club’s goal is to remain there until the end, in order to progress automatically to the Round of 16. This, however, is a conversation that at this stage must be put discreetly to one side.

Now it’s time to focus on the domestic championship and the away derby on Sunday (24.10) against Olympiacos. The Double-headed Eagle camp began their preparations for the big match on Friday (22.10) afternoon in training.

The players who were in the starting XI at the Parken Stadium stayed in the gym and swimming pool for recovery and rehabilitation therapy. The rest if the group went out on the practice pitches and worked both on physical fitness and on tactics through various exercises and a mini-friendly match.

Jose Crespo trained normally with the main group, with Nelson Oliveira now the only PAOK player whose name is on the injured list.

On Saturday (23.10) PAOK will train at 10:30 in Nea Mesimvria and in the afternoon will depart for Athens on a charter flight from Macedonia Airport.
