On the status of the team:

«The truth is that there is a positive feeling despite us being in a situation that is not the best. We have a sense of satisfaction [following the mid-week result in Europe], but I have said that the team is a bit ‘sick’, and we need everyone’s help to recover.»

Why we are sick has been analyzed many times. I have taken the responsibility and the share that belongs to me, I have never hid behind the situation, nor did I run away from it; we simply need support from all those involved in the team.»

On whether the European qualification will provide a launchpad for the team to perform better:

«All of us were definitely expecting a different situation. The expectations were different at the beginning of the season. But it means something that we have qualified to the next stage and moved forward, while some other teams haven’t.»

At the moment I know we are not playing good football, I have analyzed the reason why this is happening at the moment. In general, it is a situation where we need to think that we have had a difficult program and have managed to get something out of it, and now that is why I say that we will need the support and help of all the people involved with PAOK.»

On the absentees:

«Schwab will be with us, but unfortunately the others who are injured are not yet ready to come back.»

On the game against Lamia:

«Another difficult game in a series of difficult games, against a team that has nothing to lose and will come here to defend, so that makes it more dangerous for us. We are coming into it on the back of the release of some mental pressure we had to qualify for the next round in Europe. I want to believe that the qualification will work for us in a beneficial way, I think it has changed the spirit of the players and we will be able to present ourselves properly out on the pitch again in order to be able to get the victory. That’s our goal in a difficult game.»
