Snow for some, sun for us…

While most of Greece was being covered in heavy snowfall, Nea Mesimvria’s boast that it has it’s own climate that goes against the flow proved true on Monday.

24.01.2022

If we are honest though, even though it was sunny, the temperature did not even get «up» to zero, so the training session took place in the kind of conditions that made Icelander Ingi Ingason comment that it was even colder than his homeland, while Thomas Murg put his native Austria in the list of the hottest countries compared to Nea Mesimvria!

Leaving aside the meteorological conditions, PAOK did their «duty» in Volos and regardless of the circumstances, they are now preparing for the Greek Cup quarter-final tie against AEK. It’s a match that will decide the fate of one of the Double-headed Eagle’s objectives for the season.

The players who started against Volos followed a rest and recovery program with exercises in the gym and some running work out on the practice pitches, while the rest of the group worked on ball movement, fitness and tactics through a series of special purpose exercises. Omar El Kaddouri, Nelson Oliveira continued their own individual rehabilitation programs.

On Tuesday (25.01) PAOK will train at 11:00 at the Toumba.
