The time has come for something which PAOK have been waiting for since December. The knockout stage of the Europa Conference League. Domestic competition is placed to one side fo a few days as the team prepare to test their mettle against a different school of football.
The win over Atromitos allows Razvan Lucescu to continue to build on the confidence and the winning mentality which the players have developed in recent weeks. It’s this kind of mood and atmosphere which can have huge significance for matches like the the one coming up against FC Midtjylland, which is the first leg of their Europa Conference League Play offs tie.
At training on Monday, the players who started Sunday’s match at the Toumba followed a special recovery program and the rest of the group went out onto the practice pitches to work on passing, fitness, and some tactics. Nelson Oliveira is the only player on the injured list, and he continued to work on his individual training program.
On Tuesday (15.02) PAOK will train at 11:00 in Nea Mesimvria.
