Training in Denmark and then back to base
The first leg match against Midtjylland in the Conference League Play Offs now belongs to the past. The second leg at the Toumba will take priority from Monday. For now, the team is focused on the next challenge, which happens to be the local Super League Interwetten derby against Aris at the Kleanthis Vikelidis which takes place on Sunday (20.02) at 19:30.
There is no time for breaks or a rest, so the squad made sure that they began preparing for the upcoming league match while they are in Denmark. The team worked on Friday (18.02) morning in Herning.
The players who were in the starting lineup for Thursday’s game stayed at the hotel for some recovery and rehabilitation training. The rest of the group, together with the coaching team, went to the stadium and rolled up their sleeves ahead of this weekend’s local derby clash with Aris.
The training session program included work on tactics and movement of the ball, through various games and exercises.
PAOK will fly to Thessaloniki and on Saturday (19.02) the squad will train at 18:00 at the Toumba.
