Preparations for Marseille get underway
The game with Panathinaikos is already a thing of the past, and PAOK are now focusing all of their energy and attention on the two matches against Marseille that will determine who qualifies for the semi-finals of the 2021-22 UEFA Europa Conference League.
Those players who started against Panathinaikos followed a more relaxed wind-down training program designed at helping them recovery in time for the first leg of the club’s big European tie. The rest of the group worked on some exercises focused on practicing the team’s passing game, fitness and tactics. Alexandru Mitrita returned from Romania and completed an individual reintegration program in order to build up his rhythmn again after having Covid-19.
Giannis Michailidis is in Portugal where he underwent surgery to repair the cruciate knee ligament damage he suffered in the match against PAS Giannina. The operation was successful and the Double-headed Eagle defender will immediately begin the first stage of his post-surgery recovery program.
On Tuesday (05.04), PAOK will train at 11:00 in Nea Mesimvria.
